Use the theme to support a real idea
If your marketing calendar includes National Pink Day, start with the audience and the reason your brand should participate. A colour theme can frame a useful offer, product story or creative exercise. It is not a reason to imply an official endorsement, invent the origin of an observance or promise that a campaign will improve sales.
Build a usable palette, not a pink filter
Keep text readable, check contrast and preserve a visible call to action. A pink background does not excuse low-contrast type or information that appears only in an image. Test the mobile version and provide meaningful alternative text for visual content.
Be precise about cause-related claims
A colour does not establish a charitable partnership. If a campaign includes a donation, confirm the recipient, terms, amount or calculation and the permission to use names or logos. Do not imply that wearing a colour or buying a product supports a cause when no verified arrangement exists.
Create one coherent journey
Connect the social asset, landing page, offer details and enquiry or checkout step. Agree asset sizes, review responsibilities and a publication window. Keep a clear record of what is included; avoid inventing a limited-time discount or stock shortage just to add urgency.
Evaluate the evidence after the campaign
Choose the metric before publishing and record its limits. A page view is not a purchase, and a short-term spike does not prove a long-term brand effect. Retain the approved creative and actual results for a future case study only when client permission and evidence are available.
